BUCKNALL NEW ROAD
Our first charity shop (to be found on the ground floor of our building at 158 Bucknall New Road, Hanley) was opened in April 2000 by Allison Greatbatch of BBC Radio Stoke. Situated just outside of the main Hanley city centre (and having a large rear yard for parking and unloading) it is in an ideal position for donations to be dropped off easily without the hassle of city centre expensive parking (and those pesky Traffic Wardens!).
As result of this we generally are able to receive a much wider choice of items than our rival charity shops in the town centre. We have a huge assortment of bric a brac and household items as well as an extensive range of clothing for all ages, shapes and sizes.
Bucknall New Road shop is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday (inclusive) from 10am to 4pm.
MILES BANK
After five years of successful trading at Bucknall New Road, the branch decided a second shop was feasible and,in 2005 we duly opened our brand new flagship charity shop at 4 Miles Bank (between Greenwoods and the Works bookshop) Hanley.
This is a really up to date "super shop" which has been professionally fitted out from scratch. Again, as with Bucknall New Road, you will find a wide variety of items for sale and stock is regularly transferred between the two shops so that the most can be made of all donations kindly handed in by our supporters. We can often collect items as well so give a ring on 01782 207779. Miles Bank shop is open Monday to Saturday (inclusive) from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.
