Broken Glass causes serious injury to animals and even empty bottles and jars can hurt an animal.
Cans have sharp edges that can cut, can lids especially. If the lid is still on the can it can trap animals as they forage

Plastics can cause animals to suffocate if they crawl inside. Please tie all bags and cut open loops. If you can’t recycle plastic containers then cut them in half to keep animals safe.
Rubber bands can trap animals, please cut them in half.
Avoid balloon races, when they land animals mistake them for food and can cause suffocation or starvation by getting caught in the gullet or throat.
Please remember our animals. They naturally scavenge and litter is a hazard.
