My Safe haven means so much to me. I used to have to share my little shed with loads of smelly rubbish and rats. It was very cold and damp. I was getting pushed further to the back and I couldn’t find my water bowl. Because of your sponsorship I now have a warm, dry place where I can stretch out in a basket with room to spare and I can have all the water I can drink. When I first came I had to keep drinking it in case it ran out but now I know it won’t. And, do you know something else? Nothing steals my food either.

My name is Lester and I want to say ‘thank you’ for my Safe Haven. They are very proud of me at the kennels because I now have the courage to get out of my basket to say ‘hello’ to people – even those I don’t know. I didn’t like it when I first came to the kennels, it was very noisy and bright. I was used to living in the dark with no food and when I was patted it hurt me because I was so thin my bones stuck through my skin. I am now at my correct weight but without your kindness I would not now be ready for a new home.

Without your Sponsorship and providing me with a Safe Haven my large hernia would not have been operated on and because I am getting on in years I would not have anywhere to go.
