Event Helper
We hold a number of events through the year, mainly store or street collections which is basically holding a tin for donations.
However we also hold a number of other events such as Auction, annual Dog Show, Dog Walks (which we call Mutt Strutts) as well as a number of other ideas in the pipeline which means general help such as manning stalls, transporting items for stalls as well as assembling and taking them down.
We don’t ask that you attend every event, just what you can manage. With Collections its usually 2 to 3 hours at a time, ideally in pairs but often it can be on your own whilst other events are with a number of other volunteers. For other events it can be a half day or full day and usually at weekends.
As with all volunteers, involvement can be as much or little as is able. Some become very involved and join the Committee and others help when they can.
